Tasman Glacier Lake, Aoraki Mount Cook National Park
This has to be one of the most unique and beautiful sights in New Zealand. The Tasman Glacier is the longest Glacier in New Zealand. Where the Ice shelf ends, the beautiful milky green glacier lake begins. This is one of the only lakes in the world to contain icebergs. They float into the lake as they break off the ice shelf.
On this particular day, Aoraki Mount Cook National Park had been covered in a fresh blanket of snow. The ice on the trail was still ever present as I made my ascent to this beautiful lookout over the snow capped mountains and teal lake scattered with icebergs. It was a perfect day, with a cloudless, electric blue sky in the background and a dusting of snow on the rocks in the foreground.
